This Privacy Policy governs what information we collect when you purchase or use the Wellovie course (the "Service").
By using the Service, you acknowledge you have read and agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use.
When you buy the course through Lemon Squeezy, they collect your payment details and email address to deliver your license key. We do not receive your payment card information. We receive confirmation that a purchase was made and your license key is issued. Lemon Squeezy's privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policy.
When you enter your license key to unlock the course, your key is sent to our Cloudflare Worker to verify it against Lemon Squeezy's API. This is a single network call made once per device. No other personal data is transmitted in this call.
All of the above stays on your device. None of it is sent to any server.
The only data we use is your license key, which we verify once to confirm your purchase and unlock the course. We do not use any information for advertising, profiling, or analytics. We do not use your reflection content in any way — we cannot, because we never receive it.
We do not sell, rent, or trade any personal information. The only sharing that occurs is:

You can clear all local course data at any time through the Settings page within the course.
License key validation is transmitted over HTTPS. Because we store no personal data on our servers (your reflections and progress live only on your device), there is no central database of your personal information that could be breached.
The security of your course data depends on the security of your device and browser. We recommend using a modern, up-to-date browser.
Because we hold almost no personal data about you, most traditional data rights are exercised directly on your own device. Specifically:
California Consumer Privacy Act
If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA. Given the minimal data we collect, most of these rights are satisfied by the nature of our architecture: your personal content never reaches our servers.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. The only personal information we could theoretically hold is a record that a license key was validated — with no name or email attached on our end.

Wellovie is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Users between 13 and 17 may use Wellovie only with parental consent.

In the course of using Wellovie you may enter personal reflections, emotional responses, and content related to your mental health and personal history. As described above, this content is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to us.
Wellovie is not a healthcare provider, health plan, or healthcare clearinghouse. We are not a "covered entity" under HIPAA. Information you enter is not Protected Health Information under HIPAA. Do not use Wellovie as a substitute for clinical care.
Wellovie does not provide crisis intervention. If you are in crisis, please contact the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988), emergency services (911), or a qualified mental health professional.
We do not use advertising cookies. We do not use third-party tracking pixels. We do not engage in cross-site tracking.
The course uses browser local storage (not cookies) to save your progress and preferences on your device. This data does not leave your device.
Cloudflare may set cookies for security and performance purposes on the domains they serve. These are strictly functional.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties beyond our contractual requirements.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top. For material changes, we will post a notice within the course. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
